New Feature: NDIS Worker Screening Check

All states and territories (except for the NT) have now commenced implementing NDIS Worker Screening Check arrangements.

The NDIS Worker Screening Check forms part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

The NDIS Worker Screening Check replaces the different arrangements currently operating in each state or territory, setting a minimum national standard that all workers engaged in risk assessed roles must meet. Some states and territories may still have additional requirements in some circumstances, e.g. people working with children may need to undertake additional screening.

NDIS Worker Screening Checking at DayspringCare

As of 21 May, the DayspringCare system displays a warning during rostering if the support workers do not have NDIS Worker Screening Check entered. This feature helps you and your team to ensure compliance in this area.

This check only applies to Clients that have NDIS number entered (Go to the DSC Service Desk and search for "Client Profile" to learn more).

Make sure the NDIS Worker Screening Check number and record is entered as part Staff Certificate.
